Fightstar - Alternate Endings (B-Sides) [2008]

Alternate Endings is a compilation album by British band Fightstar. It features a previously unreleased track, B-Sides and radio live session recordings from the previous four years. It was released on the 11th of August, 2008

The track "Amethyst" is taken from the bands debut EP in which "Amethyst" was track 5. There was a hidden track directly after it in track 6 called "Hazy Eyes". The version of "Amethyst" on this album is the version from the EP. The makers of the record also left in "Hazy Eyes" at the end of the track. Nobody knows if it was an error or if it was in fact meant to be left there.

The CD also features an enhanced section with various videos featuring backstage footage, music videos and a video of the band answering questions asked by the fans.

There is also digital download of the album available where track 4 is replaced, instead of "Amethyst" you get "Floatation Therapy" which was a B-side to "Floods".

Fightstar - One Day Son, This Will All Be Yours [2007]

One Day Son, This Will All Be Yours is the second full length album by British rock quartet Fightstar and was released on September 24, 2007.

The album was written and demoed in Northampton in Al's barn and then recorded in Los Angeles with producer Matt Wallace. "Floods" was intended to be the first single, but was later changed to "We Apologize For Nothing" in light of the recent flooding in Britain. "Deathcar" was the band's next single, which was the first record on the VinylDisc format to be released in the UK.

The track 'Unfamiliar Ceilings' also represents another case of Fightstar's interest in Neon Genesis Evangelion. The song title comes from a line that the protagonist, Shinji Ikari, speaks during the series. The single for Deathcar also contains two b-sides; namely "NERV/SEELE" (named after the 2 factions from the Evangelion series) and the track "Shinji Ikari", after the aforementioned character of the same name.

Fightstar - Grand Unification [2006]

Grand Unification is the first full length album by British rock quartet Fightstar, and was released on 19 March, 2006.

The album is reportedly inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion with the track "Lost Like Tears In Rain" containing the last line, "It's Neon Genesis". The artwork also portrays scenes similar to that of the ruined cities in Evangelion. The title "Grand Unification" may even refer to the Human Instrumentality Project.
